Youth Ministry

Girls Lucas CRC strives in all it's ministries to reach all ages of the family and individual with a variety of opportunities for children to be ministered to and be a vital part of weekly worship, as well as, enjoy a variety of programs directed to their appropriate age range. Please check with our church office regarding specific days and times for some programs.

Nursery - A supervised nursery is available for children ages 0-3 during each of the worship times allowing parents to enjoy worship services knowing their children are taken care of by a caring staff.

Children's Worship - Children ages 3-6 are dismissed during the morning service for a special time of worship designed to fit their specific learning abilities. This time of worship includes singing, Bible stories, games, crafts, and snacks.

Church Education/Sunday School Classes - From September to May classes are offered right after the morning worship service for children to attend classes for their age. This unique time of study allows an opportunity for students to study the Bible and interact with other students regarding the lessons taught each week. Church Education classes are also offered for adults, so this time of study can be an opportunity for the entire family to learn more in-depth the lessons of the Bible.

Vacation Bible School - Each summer VBS if offered for all area children for one week in July. Times vary depending on the program, but each summer VBS program is theme oriented offering an interactive time of Bible stories, games, crafts, and active learning.

Cadets - A ministry for boys in grades 3-8 which teaches them life skills, hobbies, and Christian living. Luke 2:52 states that "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men." The goal of Cadets, based upon this verse, is to help boys to grow spiritually in all areas of life (devotional, mental, physical, and social) by providing Christian men with a uniquely designed structure, program, and materials so that they can mentor boys effectively.

ETMs (Early Teen Ministry) - A ministry for junior high students in grades 6-8, which meets the 4th Wednesday of the month from September through May. ETMs do a variety of engaging activities from games or service opportunities. It is an excellent opportunity for junior high students to connect with other Christian youth their age in a fun and supervised atmosphere.

Young People's - A ministry for high school students which meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from September through May. Young People's gives high school students a chance to interact with other Christian youth in an environment of fun. Activities range from attending a yearly Youth Convention and Winter Retreat, to Bible studies, games, snacks, and service to the community. Young People's group also meets with two other local CRC youth groups once a month for a fun night of activities.
